Mandatory Volunteer Requirement

Parkland Minor Baseball has a mandatory volunteering requirement that needs to be completed for each player registered (families with more than 2 players will only need to complete two shifts/requirements). There are different options for completing the requirement.  

There are credits available for the following roles within the association that cover the volunteer requirement for one registered player.  Families must verify their role covers the volunteer commitment by emailing gm@parklandminorball.com. The eligible roles are:

Recreation:

-1 Head coach and 2 Assistant Coaches per rec team or

-2 Co-head Coaches and 1 Assistant Coach per rec team

-Tournament coordinator (9U, 11U, 13U)

-Team manager (15U and 18U only)

-PMBA Board Member

-Bingos

Rep:

-1 Head Coach and 3 Assistant Coaches per rep team

-1 manager per team

-1 treasurer per team

-Darin McDonald Tournament Coordinator

-PMBA Board Member

-Bingos

If you feel you are in one of the positions, you must email gm@parklandminorball.com and get confirmation.

*Volunteer time toward team activities such as scorekeeping, diamond prep, or running provincials does not count toward the mandatory volunteer requirement.

COMMITMENT

Your commitment to the volunteer requirement is essential to the success of each event. The amount required is based on the number of children you have in baseball. Based on the volunteer commitments listed above.. The expectation of you is to honor this commitment. Credit card deposits will help us to ensure your attendance, and these will be processed if you do not work on your scheduled event or at the end of the season if that is not completed. For 1 Child it is a $200.00 deposit for 2 or more children it is a $300.00 deposit. Please ensure you watch your emails for upcoming dates to sign up.
